Our History

The campsite has been welcoming guests for over XXX years, evolving through partnerships with Flower Camping, Yelloh Village, and now Sunêlia. Originally named Camping Les Pins, the site was a heartfelt gift from a husband to his wife, who loved pine trees. Over time, the name changed to Le Séquoia, paying tribute to the majestic sequoia tree that proudly stands on the grounds—a symbol of the campsite’s enduring charm and history.
Since joining the Compagnie Gustave Groebli, the campsite has undergone significant improvements to meet modern expectations while preserving its natural beauty. Some of our major additions include:
- Expanding the site to include residential accommodations as part of the Villages Collection (see more here).
- Creating a stunning 2000m² lagoon, offering a unique and eco-friendly swimming experience.
- Introducing a Quartier Luxe with high-end mobile homes and amenities.
- Upgrading some pitches with private toilets for added convenience.
- Enhancing facilities and improving our ratings to reflect the high standards our guests expect.
While we’ve worked tirelessly to meet the demand for luxury, we’ve also maintained the campsite’s natural charm. Surrounded by trees, spacious green pitches, and plenty of room to enjoy wildlife, Le Séquoia continues to offer a tranquil retreat where guests can reconnect with nature.
When you visit, be sure to find our iconic sequoia tree, a living reminder of the campsite’s roots, growth, and connection to the beautiful Dordogne Valley.

Oslo
Four-Legged Ambassador 🐾Woof woof! I’m Oslo, the official golden retriever of Camping Le Séquoia. Always ready for a cuddle or a walk, my mission is to make sure both humans and dogs feel at home here. You’ll often find me greeting newcomers, exploring the trails around the campsite, or simply relaxing in the shade of the sequoia tree. Kids adore me, and I’ve got a special talent for spotting anyone carrying a treat!
Fun fact: I love water, so don’t be surprised if I follow you to the lagoon… though only up to the gate, of course! 🐾
