Little Versailles at the foot of the cliffs!
A haven of greenery, this village of character nestling at the foot of the cliffs exudes a very special atmosphere thanks to its historic castrum and its little hidden streets. Autoire's houses line up in a cascade of brown roofs and light-coloured facades. In a harmony of colours, you'll discover a fountain, half-timbered houses and elegant manor houses flanked by turrets. It is, of course, listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France.
If you take the ridge path that leads up to the famous Château de Anglais, you'll be amazed by the viewpoint overlooking the village.
You can't talk about Autoire without mentioning the exceptional natural surroundings and its splendid 30m-high waterfall.
